Hi all,

I put some mp3's of my band online on the URL you can read above.

The songs are recorded directely on one stereo track on a soundblaster card, with a few rented mics through a soundcraft mixer. So although I know this is a recording site, the sound quality, balance, EQ.. isn't that good I am searching for comments on the songs instead of the recordings. The only overdubs made are a guitar and the vocals.

The style is a mixture between modern rock like Rage and Qotsa and more older stuff like The Doors


anyone want to give it a go?

Yeah I know, it just cost me some time to put them online so now I'm curious about some reactions from ppl on this board...
 
The micing of the drums sounds good, and authentic, not fake :) The guitar is kinda distorted, but I think thats the idea ;)
The riff is nice, kinda reminds me of Audioslave, bluesy-rock. I like the music, the singing is good, you've got a good singer. The guitar riffs are cool, I think maybe the guitar is too strong, or the drums and and voice need to be louder, but that may just be my speakers, because they are known to be messed up :)

Overall I actually like this loads. I would buy a CD if it was in the shops :)

You got a point: guitars are too strong compared to the drums, but that's because evrything, besides the doubled guitars and voice, are recoded live on one stereo track...
With a decent multirtrack recording we hope to make this better..

thx for comparing us with audioslave:) Others compared us with Rage with a Jim Morrison kinda singer. Our vocalists is really charismatic also, so I think this band is really ok

No, we only started about 8 months ago, so we decided we would first find a lot of gigs this summer, write enough tunes and record a decent demo afterwards before searching for a label. We try to work ourselves up 'the traditional way'. I hope it works.

I keep you informed though. Feel free to submit the link to friends who can be interested. We are working on a site which should be on the net in july, so you can get some more info...

Sounds good, I'll keep a look out for you. Whta does the name mean?

I do have some music up, but it's poor quality, however I'll upload this new one I'm doing soon and you can have a listen. I'll tell you when its there :)

We recorded 5 and we have 7 songs.

The name doesn't mean a thing, it just sounds good:)
