My Attempt At A "Jerkin Type Beat"

Decided to try something different than what I usually do so I jumped into making a "Jerkin Type Beat":

I don't usually listen to this genre so I don't really know if this came out good, average, or bad; what do you think of it?
 
I was thinking this is alright and then those hats came in at like 0:50 or something and i was like uhhhhhh. I like it man, it has good composition, the only thing ide be worried about is its originality, but it looks like your just exploring some different genres so there nothing to be worried about....good shit man keep doin it.
 
thanks man, yeah just wanted to try something really simple; i'm gonna give it another shot and try to make it more "my style" if i can so it doesn't seem so 'cookie-cutter'; thanks for the feed man!
 
cool shit but only thing i would would be to change the actual synth's used to something less common so it'll stand out a little more
