My Apologies

Regarding my last post:

People, I am really sorry. It was a bit of an asshole thing to do wasn't it? Taking someones lyrics and saying they're shit just cos they didn't like mine. I know it's a rather immature thing to do, and for that I am sorry.

I don't know why I put music on forums, or even show it to people at all, because I really find it hard to take criticism, especially about my voice or my lyrics.

Having said that, I still appreciate when people take the time to listen to my music and write what they think of it - even if I don't like what they say. I'm learning slowly!

Once again, I am sorry.

Please don't think I'm a total asshole - I promise not to be so hostile next time.

Your apology is much appreciated. Perhaps my pretentious comment was a bit harsh and uncalled for as well. The bottom line is, this is a clinic where people post material and get feedback, both bad and good. It is not intended to degenerate into personal attacks. If we only get good feedback, we'll never know what could be improved. Learning how to make our music/recordings better is what this community is all about. Good on you.
 
Well, I don't know if you saw my comments before I edited them but suffice it to say that I really liked your songs vocals included. I still think you are biting radiohead's ass, nothing wrong with opinions though right? What better ass to be biting?

Thanks for the appology, it shows a higher thought process and it was the right thing to do.

We can all rip eachother to hell, that's what this place is for. My theory is if your friends kick your ass no one else can.

It's funny, everyone tells me that I sound like I have a lot of Zappa influence or I sound like the singer from the Pixies...or Helmut.

I don't listen to any of that stuff.

I was originally going to post some comments as well....I did...but not about your music. ;)

Anyone man enough to apologize is alright with me. We all act like a-holes sometimes, but taking a second to notice and correct it - is what it's all about.

Your music...Yes it sounds like Radiohead....But damn, is that a bad thing???

The stuff sounds great.
and it's recorded really well.

I don't listen to radiohead, so I couldn't tell the difference. Maybe I should, but I am turned off by so much of today's music that I can't listen too long without saying it sounds the same as everybody else...

But to the topic at hand, I am glad to see that you were man enough to apologize, and hope you don't stop posting music because of this.

It takes a fairly thick skin to post stuff here because you are going to get some negative comments. Not everyone subscribes to the politically correct mode of thinking, and some comments are going to be harsh. I don't always like it when I get bad reviews, but it has helped me to look at my music in their eyes, and see the things they see, and has helped me grow. Hopefully, you can take something away from it to.
 
what radiohead in particular?
is it just cos my music sounds cold and i use electronic things?
 
Yep, pretty much.

Forget it, classification aint that big of a deal. people are gonna naturally stick you in some boat...you don't have to go downstream.
