Hi there. I've got a Laney VC30 210, and i'm really happy with it. Though last weeks he's revealed a serious problem: it cuts out sometimes. At firts I thought it were the tubes. Bus after i've changed them it still cuts out. Does anyone have a clue? What can I do?

Well, I have to ask. Are you sure it's the amp? Have you checked your cables? The jack on the guitar? Start small and cheap. ;)

Good point Purge. My bass player had a problem with his amp would not work until you had it on for an hour or so. After that he had no problems. Finally I took it apart and found a crack in the board. So I ran a jumper wire and problem solved. But like Purge said, do a process of elimination.

Corrosion in the jacks especially the effects loop often cause the problem that you described. Get a can of Deoxit D5 and clean all of the jacks by spraying some on a guitar cable and plugging and unplugging it several times.

Is it that simple? I'll give it a try. Thanks guys, I will let you know.
