mxl v69

i recently purchased a rode nt1-a for recording vocals & acoustic guitar.
alhough i am fairly impressed with this mic but fell it's a touch too bright.
i am running it through a presonus bluetube dp to my soundcard (terratec phase 22).

basically i'm wondering if it's worth checking out the mxl v69? would this be a step up from the nt1-a?

I'm in the same boat at the moment, I bought the nt1a a few months ago, sounds great compared to what I was using but am now looking at the mxl67 and wondering if it would be an upgrde or not.The 67 seems to get a good rave on this site compared to the nt1a.

Different....Yes.

The V69 is generally considered a darker, much more colored type of mic. So, if that is what you are looking for it could be the one for you.
