worth being bought for overhang mics?


i really need to find a good sounding overhang mics for a budget. somehting like the akg c1000s but not so much... maybe in the 2/3$ range.

I assume you mean $2-300? Check out the Oktava MK-012. You should be able to find them used in that range.

You might also look around for a pair of JoeMeek JM27 SDC's... I've seen pairs for $80-$150. Pretty decent sounding for the money... not overly bright.

They're very good for Overheads, but i wouldn't buy them if youre only going to use them for overhead. I found them to sound good on a set of drums where the drummer only has large cymbols, specifically. Otherwise i usually reach for a pair of LDCs, or use these as room mic/highhat
