So I've been wanting to post some better music videos of my singing and playing on youtube and I've come up against a basic issue which I'm wondering if anyone here has an answer to.
Basically, I want to record the audio using Logic Pro (I use a Mac) and then I understand I have to film the video simultaneously but to a different app (e.g. iMovie, Quicktime, etc...) and then merge the two using an audio/visual sync marker and video editor.
So far so good...but what if I don't want to have headphones on while I'm recording the vocal? I'm performing smooth jazz and I'd rather the video looked like a natural, live performance than a studio session. Is there any way around that problem without having to resort to lip-syncing/miming?
