HI, i HOPE SOMEBODY CAN HELP ME WITH THIS PROBLEM IM HAVING.
I HAVE A CD WITH MUSIC ON IT AND AM TRYING TO TRANSFER IT TO MY G4 USING PRO TOOLS I/O BOX WHICH HAS A QUARTER INCH CABLE CONNECTION.
i ALREADY TRIED USING A CD WALK MAN IT RECORDED THE SOUND BUT THE DRUM PATTERNS DID NOT COME OUT TO CLEAR
JUST IMAGINE A HIP-HOP BEAT OR A HOUSE BEAT WITH THE MUSIC BUT NO KICK DRUMS OR SNARES COMING OUT THE SPEAKERS
IF ANYBODY COULD TELL ME HOW TO TRANSFER THE MUSIC AND RECIEVE IT ALL ON THE HARD DRIVE

what are you doing with it??? why do you want it in your computer??

You need to "rip" the files from the CD to your harddrive. I use Windows, so I don't know of any Mac programs, but I'm sure a Google search will turn up a few.

Ripping works like this -
1)Place CD in your CD-ROM drive
2)Bring up ripping program
3)Select which tracks to transfer to your computer
4)The ripper then copies the songs onto the PC and saves them as a data file. In Windows, it's a .wav file, not sure about the Mac.

Good luck!

thanx but

hey thanks for the input but um..........
I already have the music on my hard drive
I guess what i mean is how to transfer it to the program I have and be able to use it

Open the program you want to use, select File | Open and navigate to the file on your hard drive. Am I missing something? What format are the files in?
