I keep finding old stuff from when I was teaching. This dates back a fair while now, but I slapped it on an old Youtube account - probably just to save it being lost again. The original things was to do with editing after completion. So a bunch of the students were given a sequence from Blade Runner (the original version) and asked to remove certain things from a sequence - like you get asked to for all sorts of crazy reasons. Don't show this, cut this from the backgound. They did the edit, trying to retain the feel of the original, then the music people had to fix the sound, which of course was now too long. Whenever I set work like this, I did it too - only fair really because at least that way I would know the difficulty level and grade accordingly. Often, some students did better than me and that's actually good! We've had a few saxophone topics recently, so this popped into my head today.

I wont mention me feeble and ineffective efforts to repair my old soprano after a client knocked it off the desk. I've bent as much as I dare and it plays horribly now.
