Ok, I'm looking for a program (pref. PC) that does the following :
Provides an environment (staff based) to enter music. Understands dynamics, accents, staccato markings and all the standard MUSICAL markings. Can input notes from a MIDI controller. Can output a reasonable imitation of the music to MIDI modules. I would love it if it handled repeats properly (ie, handled them as musicians reading sheet music do (let me rephrase that - as COMPETENT musicians reading sheet music))
What I want, basically, is a replacement for the piece of paper we're currently using...
We've got an old version of Cakewalk right now (6 something) and it is absolutely awful. Doesn't know most of those things.
