I am considering purchasing pressed CD's. They are offering CD-R-s or Music CD's. Is there is difference? And if so does anyone know what the difference is?

Thanks!!

If these are CDs that you plan on selling to people, I would definitely recommend pressed CDs. Pressed CDs are made from a glass master and are indistinguishable from commercially produced discs that you can buy. CDRs are "burned" which is what you do at home. CDRs have a shorter shelf-life and I'm pissed when I buy something at a live show that is burned to a CDR.

Thanks for the info. One more question? I am working with a company that allows you to upload your master .wav files and they send you the CD pressing. What is the difference in production of the "music" CD's as opposed to burning CD-R and slapping your own label on them?

CDRs are good for small runs. its not worth making a glass master to press real cds if you're only going to be pressing a few hundred cds. most places won't press under 1,000 "real" cds, but they'll do any number of CD-Rs
