I am pretty new to this recording stuff and i was wondering how to hook my recorder up to my 24 channel mixer, if its possible.

What make/model of mixer? How many tracks on the recorder(s)? Direct outs on each channel? These factors could make a huge difference in how you would hook it all up.

I have a Fender 2500 i think...its 24 channel...but i have an 8track zoom recorder, it has one set of master outs.

Wow, I didn't know Fender made a 24 channel mixer. I did a couple searches and didn't find anything on it.

Anyway, if it doesn't have dedicated direct outs on each channel, you can use the subgroup(buss) outs to feed the recorder. Sometimes, you can also use a channel insert as an output by inserting the 1/4" plug in to the first click. Not the best situation, but it can work to get you started.

As far as outputs, if all the recorder has is left/right stereo outputs, you are pretty much stuck mixing your tracks with whatever mixing facilities that are built into the recorder.

Good Luck

Lol...yeah the fender mixer is about 7 years old now...lol
thanks for the info gtrman_66. I need to get me some monitors for my recorder because right now i am using some headphones and it sounds great with them but when i put the tracks through a system they sound like crap.
