Multiple Midi tracks

i'm still a bit in Cakewalk mode and trying to edit a song from my keyboard in Cubase SX
these songs have multiple tracks and in Cakewalk i was able to just activate as many midi track needed like track 1 on the synth goes to track 1 in the computer by way of chanel 1 and so on

but in cubase i find myself recording 1 track at the time (regardless of chanel routing the same data is transmitted to all recorded tracks ) which i'm not overly annoyed about since there are at most 8 measures

so if someone knows how please hook a brethren up

Right click midi track >midi>dissolve parts

et voila
