I know that Sonar can only use one card when using asio drivers. BUt what if you have two cards with asio drivers, how does sonar know which one to use.

My guess would be that it's the one you choose as Playback/Recording master under Options -> Audio...

Are the cards the same?

I know with my card, if I buy another I can sync them together and they will work under the same ASIO driver in windows. My computer supports up to 4 of these cards running together?

It depends on the type of soundcard you're using. And.. the way that you configure the program and the soundcards options.
