Spread the Daf!
alesis quadra verb crapped out so I need another unit. looking at the Lexicon MX 200 at M.F. for $199. Anyone have any opinions or alternate suggestions?
Don't want to spend more than 200-300 bucks.

I have an MX200 and it's truly excellent. Sonically rich with an intuitive interface and very flexible. I honestly haven't seen or heard anything that can compete with it at this price point.

Great! Thanks a lot .. it's always so useful to hear a direct opinion from someone who's paid for a unit. I think I'm gonna get one. :)

Maybe it's too pricey but I've been quite happy with the performance of my TC Electronics G-Major.
Not impressed with build quality though so I wouldn't recommend it for the stage.

I'd think that you'd be better suited with a replacement QV at the price I've seen them on Ebay... I'm assuming it's for your guitar rack... and I think a better solution then the Lexicon... For general all round effects I'd go for the Lexi, but as Somnium7 mentions the G-Major is a highly regarded guitar box... and the QuadraVerb still holds it's own too.

A used MPX-1 or TC M2000 can be had for not too much more money.

Have you considered software solutions for your effects needs? For 200-300 bucks you may find some pretty decent reverb and other effects in the VST world.

well .... then I'd have to buy a 'puter and an interface and, in fact, every single thing that goes with recording on a 'puter since I only use one for going on line.
Strictly a hardware guy ..... I know, I know ..... but that's what I've used for 40 years so that's where I'm staying.

aw man ...sorry to hear taking the battery out didnt work:o

I like my TC M200. It has dual channels for reverb or delay fx which works well in live settings.
