Multi-track to Sonar

Hi Folks, I'm using Sonar producer 4 and an Emu 1212m soundcard, does anyone know what type of unit I would need to record in multitrack in through the Emu Sipdif lets say?Is there any good non expensive rack units that have about 8 inputs and a sipdif out to the soundcard on my pc?Cheers

All you need is a mixer with an s/pdif outs.

But s/pdif is only 2-channels at a time. You'd be better off getting a Firewire interface to get more channels at a time.

Hi Tim,Yeah there's a firewire port on the soundcard as well. so that would be better for recording a full kit on seperate channels?How many tracks can you do with firwire or is there no limit? The reason I'm trying to figure this out is cuz I'm in a full studio getting drums done on a few tracks and it's taking so long I'm gona be old and poor before it's done www.raized.com
