I recently posted a message on multi-input sound cards and got some very helpful advice. I was also peased to find out that the stereo input on my cheapie sound card will acually accomodate two distinctly different recording tracks. I'm sure finding a mini to 2X 1/4in adapter wont be too hard. My question is...once I have all this hooked up and Acid Pro loaded up, how do I assign individual tracks in the application to either channel of the sound card. I have no idea of where to start here.

I don't think Acid can do multi-tracking unfortunately. I've used the demo version and you can only choose a stereo input, but you need to be able to assign the left side to one track and the right side to a different track (which I don't think it can do).

Sorry. :(

No- Acid won't do *simultaneous* multitrack recording but it still is useful as a multi-track mixing application. It WILL capture 2 separate tracks and then allow you to capture two more at a time while hearing what is already recorded, ad infinitum.

Doctor said... It requires both multi input soundcard & multi track software to do multi track recording. Go SONAR or CoolEdit Pro 2...
