Multi track recording program

I have cakewalk pro8, soundforge 4.5, and cooledit pro... but what is the best/semi affordable multitracking software? does it do more than 8 tracks at a time, and what about plugins..... check out www.gadgetlabs.net awesome looking 8channel i/o that might be what i get soon
