This is my first post...so don't be too critical.

I record into my computer(s) ( I have both a desktop in my studio and a laptop that I use on location)
I use Cakewalk Music Creator 2003 (it's OK..but limited)
I am interested in recording multi-tracks into my computer and I don't know if it can be done. Here's what I want to do. I want to be able to record diferent instruments at the same time but have each record on their individual tracks on my computer. Is this possible? I suspect that if it is I will need additional equipment, but what?

Thanks for the help.

I don' think Music Creator can record more than 2 tracks at a time. You will need to be running at least Home Studio 2004. For the laptop, you will need some kind of external muti input audio interface. I would recommend staying away from USB and looking at Firewire if your laptop has it. M-Audio has the Firewire 410 interface which has 4 inputs and 10 outputs.

Thanks. I have been looking at upgrading to Home Studio 2004, this will be my excuse. I'll check out the interface.
