Hi,

Is it possible to use multi-outputs in battery along with Sonar 3 and FLoops4?

Thx..

It depends on how many outputs you have from your soundcard.

well, if i think i understand what you are asking....then yes. you can control the number of outputs through the options menu, and then when you select which pad you want to output to a different track, just hold down ctrl and use your mouse to adjust the outputs over the lower right hand corner 'output' setting. by this method, you can send kick to...say....1/2 output....then snare to 3/4 output....then 'blah blah' to 3/4 output. if you need more help, just ask.

What if he/she has no '3/4 ouput'? Suppose it's just a stereo souncard. That was the fundamental basis of my reply...

Hi and thanks for your reply.

I think Nik6teen understood what I am asking for cause you have the perfect answer! Yes I want this feature so I can separate for example drums from kick or percussions to use different FX plugins and make the drum kit more lively!

The problem is when I click battery options and choose the outputs and then apply I'm having this popup menu: Patch import directory does not exist!

Thx.

Patch import directory does not exist....

hmm, never seen that message, i'll have to investigate.

but as far as scientist says.... like, you don't always have to route the outputs of battery through an actual physical output on you audio interface. not sure about routing in sonar (i use cubase) but within that software i can route a kick to say...audio track 1....the snare to audio track2...blah blah. then when i bounce that midi info down to audio, i can mix them by themselves. kinda hard to explain since i don't know much about sonar. just trying to help ya, since i had the same prob with battery for awhile. my soundcard (terratec phase 22) is only stereo out....but within battery i can make 'virtual' outputs to send back to cubase and mix the kick and snare in there.

and i'm sorry, try holding down alt, not ctrl...and then move the mouse up and down, that should increase/decrease the amount of 'virtual' outputs....which you can then route to actual audio channels....whatnot. this seems to work for me, despite what settings you enter in the options menu where you seem to be getting that error. (by the way, i'm using battery in a vst environment...not sure if it's the same in sonar). also, i've found that when i change output #'s, it prompts me to restart the battery plug-in, and then those extra outputs show up.
