Hey
I was wondering if anyone knows of a cheap (even free) way to mix and playback multi-channel recordings?. I have Cubase VST 4.0, but I can only do a surround mix on the master channel, as opposed to independently routing individual tracks to individual channels. Maybe there is a DX or VST plugin that allows a direct output to other ASIO channels (so I could use the effects sends), or alternatively a program that allows for conventional MME multi-channel playback, as used on games and PC DVD software.
Otherwise it seems kind of a waste that basic multi-channel capability exists on conventional consumer gear - like the sound blaster Live - and yet only a studio can afford to properly use it.
Thanks
