MR8 wavmanager PC to MR8?

ok well i need some serious help, uh, i transferred a song called "member" to my pc, it has the usual 'tr01.wav' so thats right..Now i guess i assumed...but more or less took the idea that i could free up space on my card by putting the song onto my computer, deleting it from the mr8, record another song, put that on my computer, and so on so forth. i need to put the finished songs on my mr8 to mixdown for this bands demo, by next week. however, when trying to put the tracks back on to the MR8 from the pc, it says "??????????38" and has the loading bar, but of course its not loading, it just says "text" and i have to close wav manager. um. ive created the song on the mr8, "member", (that i had once deleted) so i could transfer it back on there but it just doesnt work.... i just need to put those tracks together and put it on a audio cd, i dont have any programs, and if you could suggest some other way to put it to audio cd without going through the mr8 that would be great. i suppose i couldnt do what i was trying to do... ok ya thanks in advance hope to hear some answers very soon.

From what I'm reading you want to mix these down on the mr8? Not in a software program. And you want to store your tracks on the pc to save cf space. Not sure what your error message means. But if you are not editing that wav at all while in the pc, it should export back to the mr8 with no problem. Provide you have cf space. Are you using a card reader or usb? If you didn't reformatt the card or use the Delete/Unused option in the song menu your tracks should still be in the mr8. But since you have them in the pc already there is cheap software out there that enables you to mix the tracks and merge them to a stereo wav file for burning to cd. Magix Music and Video maker is around $20 at Best Buy and would fit your needs. Power tracks by Pro Audio is $50 and 48 tracks with fx for each track and makes great quality audio. Ntrack is 88 tracks for $50 and gets lots of praise in here.Both are very easy to use. You can mix and bounce tracks in the mr8,convert to a wav and usb the whole mix into the pc. Then burn that wav to cd also. Get the software. It gives you everything the mr8 doesn't have for a good mix and better quality than the mr8 alone. Good luck Pj

I have to second that...probobly not what you wanted to hear but my experiences sent me in that direction as well. A few years ago I started out with an MR-8 thinking it would be all I ever needed. I could juggle the files around and eventually get there but I spent more time fiddle-dinkin' with it than playing and putting the tracks down. I initially went with HS2002 which worked out great. Track on the MR-8, move them to the PC and mix it there. This actaully worked out pretty well for quite some time until I wanted to do more than 2 tracks at a time and eventually broke down and got a PC audio interface.

I still take my MR-8 with me when I travel and I pack several memory cards too.
