(mr8) strange things

My mr8 will only record now if the switch is on external mic, even if I am plugging in a guitar. Also, when I press stop and rewind to rewind it back, it starts playing instead. Is this bad?

that is not right, if what you say is so, wend it back for another one ....

well, the rewinding problem was a one time problem. But the recording problem is still there. It doesn't change the quality or anything...but it's strange. Is it worth to inquire about getting it fixed if it doesn't really affect too much?
 
So your saying it only records on mic/line setting. But when switched to Guitar or internal mic it won't record. Are you plugging your guitar directly into the mr8 and getting the amp sims and distortion on mic/line also? If you are, you shouldn't. Do you hear your takes while recording via some type of monitor to know you have some type of input? Did it used to work right or has it been like this since you bought it? If it's a newer machine I'd have it looked at. Or try fostex tech support.

i havent heard any advertising on the radio, where is it going to be?
