When running out of time for recording on my MR8, why does it not give me more time when I delete tracks (as it obviously does when I delete songs)? I can't find anything in the manual. Any ideas about overcoming this problem?

you then have to use the " delete unused function". To do that hit "menu" button and scroll down to "song" then scroll down to "delete unused".

That will then actully free up the time for ya.

cheers

Thanks Clifchamb - wish I hadn't ordered that 512 mb card now.

What kind (and price) did you order? I'm still using the 128 that came with the unit, and it gets tight when a tune crosses the 3 minute boundary. I think you'll find that the card was a good purchase.

I'm in the UK - it was £79 from www.mx2.com - by far the cheapest round here, but then the cheapest MR8 in the UK is about £290 - far more expensive than the US. I think the make is Integral (unless that's a description).

Did you verify that it's on the approved media list? Many cards won't work with the MR-8 due to speed, so try to verify before opening the package.

It hasn't been tested by Fostex. If it doesn't work I'll send it back and go back to the 2 minute songs. Can there be a corporate plot to bring back punk?
