MR8 help please

hey i just recorded a song with my MR8 and when i try to convert the mono waves of track 7/8 into one file it say "out of capacity over 1m 00s" can neone help me with this, i didnt use up all the space on the card.

This is a problem with the Mr-8 and its limitation of memory on the 128mb card. To make a stereo wave file out of tracks 7 and 8, you NEED JUST AS MUCH MEMORY OF THE TRACKS THAT YOU HAVE USED.

In other words, if you have two mono tracks (7 and 8) and each are 5 minutes long, you need AT LEAST another 10 minutes of free time on your card to create that stereo wave file.

I do not reccomend usign the Mr-8 this way. My suggestion is to download the wave manager form the fostex web site and use an USB cable or CF card reader to xfer your tracks to be mixed on a PC mixing program. That way you will not run out of memory on the MR-8 since you can just keep xfering tracks to your PC in order to delete them and free up more memory.

Run a search in this forum on "wave manager" and PC mixing software and that should give you some ideas on where to start.
