Flailing up a storm.
ANyone using this have trouble with the buttons after a bit? My play (!) button started to jsut not work consistently. I took the case apart and checked out the board and the little mini button on the board seemed to work fine, then i p0ut everyhting back together and it seemed to be a lot more consistent. But lately it is less and less likely to work the first time i hit the button.
I can feel the button depress, it doesn't seem like it is not making contact with the little button on the board. I am dreading having my lil machin stopp working simply because of a faulty button on the stupid green board.

Any thoughts?

Daav.

This has been a major problem. That plastic grid can break and the buttons sink down into the case. I don't know how how many threads I've seen on this subject but its been a lot!
You might try the Fostex forum and do a search. Someone on there actually posted an address and phone number where they were able to order a new grid.
Whatever you do, resist the temptation to push the buttons with excessive pressure.
Good luck.

YEsterday, i took it apart again, and epoxied a tiny little bit of plastic i cut off a guitar pick to the top of the button onthe circuit board, and reassembled and it seems to be working a bit better, but it defeinately requires extra pressure to work, I think i am going to have to start thinking about a PC upgrade and moving to staight INterface-> PC recording sooner than i thought.

Fostex has replacement buttons and they are fairly cheap. You have to order them by email since fostex doesn't have tech support over the phone. Good luck
