Hello I am looking at buying an Akai Mpc60 but also know that the 3000 is slightly better in some regards.
How much should my top price be for a version 2 Mpc 60 with nifty travel case?
Also does anyone know where there is a used gear general pricelist?
I swear I found one once but forgot to bookmark it.

Also I should mention that I am in the camp that believes the 2000 is not worth the trouble. I have never had an Mpc and am just going on hearsay on that one. So if I am wrong and you can sway me the other way let me know. I know it is chaeaper but again from what I hear lesser in ease of use.

Anyone have a cheap Mpc for sale?
Thanks for reading.

If you have the cash, get the 3000.

For a price list, you can do a search on METACRAWLER.

http://www.metacrawler.com

OR you can ask an electronics dealer or pawnshop in your area (they would have an "used equipment book").

peace... :)

Thanks Spin but..

METACRAWLER didint have much going on.
I did however find another site with a pretty good price list
Maybe you know of it already but here it is

PREPAL

I just might buy an Mpc 60 beacause I really don't have the cash for a 3000 right now.
I also plan to buy two Mackie HR824's and between those two purchases I am looking at around $2500 WOW!!

Then theres a condenser mike and a preamp and a keyboard and...on and on....
Well thanks for your help
Bye,

Yeah, I went to my electronics dealer here in Chicago and he told me that they have to pay $500.00 per year for the price book ( I forgot the name of the book AND where you can order it) :(

If you're going to spend $2,500.00, then you should get the MPC 2000XL and a pair of Event 20/20's ( that will keep you under $2,500.00).

:)

peace...

Argon...

I'm with you on the 2000 not being worth the trouble. I have the mpc 3000 now and I used to have the mpc 60, I didn't even bother getting the 2000.

On the other hand... I know people who do good stuff on the 2000, so I can't COMPLETELY knock it.
