Alright this is what i have

1. REASON 4
2.XBOARD 49
3.MPC 500
---------------
Basically I'm trying to use the mpc as a midi controller.
Right now I have it someway rigged up where i can get my xboard 49 to trigger sounds from the mpc but i cant get the mpc to trigger sounds in reason. I have my midi out on my xboard 49 going into my midi in on my mpc. I know this sounds crazy probally but i know it can be done.
This video my help understand what i'm trying to do

You need the midi out of the MPC 500 to go to the midi in of Reason. You don't mention an interface, so I assume you use the XBoard to handle that part in addition to inputting notes to Reason.

Hook your MPC 500's midi out to the midi in of the XBoard. Then connect the USB cable to the computer. Now you need to set the midi channels for the MPC and the XBoard to different numbers - the XBoard on channel 1 and the MPC on channel 2. Then set up a track in Reason that has midi channel 2 as an input - that youtube vid you linked has the MPC triggering a melodic sound, but you can also trigger the ReDrum's drum sounds providing you set the notes right.
