I have never burned a cd before. I have some mp3s downloaded in my computer off of Napster. What equipment should I buy, and how do I go about burning the mp3s onto a CD? Thank you for your time!

Well..

You need:

A. CD Burner. What brand? Mitsumi's and Yamaha's are decent.

B. Software. Your burner should come with some. Adaptec EZ-CD is the common one.

C. Learn how to use the software, and burn away.

I'm Burnin For You

Emeric is right.
Plus..Some mp3's will not burn to CD. You may either get a message that states "Mp3 file not CD quality", or just refuses to burn to CD for one reason or another.
My fix: Convert the mp3 file to a .wav file using an mp3 encoder (my mp3 encoder, SCMPX, offers mp3 to .wav)
This has always worked for me when stopped from burning mp3 to disk.

Get MusicMatch Jukebox you just create a playlist of mp3 files you want and click create cd. It expands right to the disc so that there is no need for a large folder to store them and its faster. They recomend a cd/burner with adaptec software. I have used it quite a few times making playlist cd's and had pretty good luck. Mp3's must be 16bit 441000 stereo or they will not record. It seems to be the only player so far that I have seen you don't have to expand it to a wav file first. You can check on your mp3's quality by going to view-settings-and another menu pops out to the side when you get it up hit statistics I think and It will tell you the quality as long as it says 441. 16bit stereo you can record it no mater what the encodeing rate.

Ok, guys I'm a little old fashioned here but you can very easily record off of napster to cassette for about five bucks. Get a 1/8 inch stereo / to left and right RCA cable(Radio Shack). Plug the 1/8 inch end into the speaker out put of your sound car and the RCA end into the input of a tape deck. Turn the volume on the computer all the way up and adjust the level on the tape deck.

Now I know this isnt "CD" quality sound, but it does the job if you want good recording to work with. I use this method when I want to learn a certain song but I dont want to buy the whole record.
