This happened with Windows Media Player, when I was on Win2k, now I am on WinXP...and using Winamp.
It always takes about 4 seconds for an MP3 to start playing, after you press play.
Maybe there is something weird with the Aark card where it tries to upsample things...and takes it a second to process? I don't know...
strangely though I think it might do it with wavs as well...I will convert this MP3 to a wav and try again....
Loading a Wav/MP3 into cooledit or nuendo always works fine though.
hmm, same thing with wav....also the playback is fickle....like, if I minimize this IE window or something, it might skip. yes it did...really chokes up with stuff like that.
Maybe its a windows wrapper or something...that messes up the Aardvark, and I should only playback sounds through a pro audio application?
