Hi all guys! First post here.

A couple of years ago I built a little mini studio with a isolated room for drums and amps and the control room on the other side. The thing is that this studio is at my parents house and I dont want to bother them with alot of noise so I thought id move the stuff to my apartment since I have a extra room and Im going to put a studio desk in there with some rack spaces.

So my question is what gear do I need any rack units that are good to have? Also since Im going to be recording software drums and Im not going to mic my tube amps anymore since my neighbours will freak. So maybe a guitar processor is in order? I have really good mics for vocals so I got that covered.

A list of my gear
iMac 27" with Logic Pro 9,1
Waves plugs, superior drummer, BFD 2
Mackie Onyx 400f I/O Fw interface with really nice pres
KRK RoKit 6 Monitors
Sm57, Sm58, 2 TSM Tube Condersor mics
M-Audio Keystation 61 Keyboard
Fender Strat and Tele
Martin DM Acoustic
Washburn Acoustic with fishman mic
Ramon Garcia Classical Guitar
Laney Lionheart 20w Tube amp
Egnter Tweaker Tube amp
Roland Micro Cube (this one might be useful with the line out)

Anything you would need? Maybe a Pod X3 or a Vox Tonelab ex?

I will be recording everything from electro beat pop to metal but my real choice is classic rock and blues-

Sugesstions are most welcome!

Best Regards

David

It'd be a shame to not be able to record those little tube amps- perhaps you can find a small iso cab, which would adsorb the sound and keep it in, but still allow you to crank 'em to where they sound sweet.

too right crank em in a box and throw a good pair of mics on it good call stevie
if you do i'd love to hear the results on the Egnter Tweaker Tube amp
theres some self made iso cab videos on you tube too. to keep the cost down a little or get some gobbos
hope this helps

Ah crap, wrong thread. Delete this, please. :D

Its not like Im going to quit using my tube amps, the tweaker amp has a master vol so I can slap a SM57 on there now and then but I just want an alternative to that if I want to record mega distorted guitar my amps wont produce that. I see quite a few getting results with Pods and tonelabs.
