Moving grouped waves whilst zoomed in

I have just started using Cool Edit Pro 2 (which I'm told is far superior than Cool Edit 1.2 that I have been using).

Why then does the very first thing I try to do not work? (It did in 1.2).

I am grouping 4 waves together and attempting to move them (slightly) in time with another wave. To see this I have to zoom in, but when I attempt to move the grouped waves it flies me back to an early part of the grouped waves??

I have taken all snapping functions off but it still does it. Any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong?

Hey Andy -

I tried it with my CE 2.1. I highlighted three tracks, grouped them, and then dragged them back and forth at different levels of zoom. It worked every time, although sometimes, the onscreen visual lagged a bit. Nothing snapped back, and everything stayed where I dragged it. So, the software works. But sorry, I have no idea why yours isn't working right now.
