Hi!

I use Cubase AI and would like to ask if it is possible to copy a part in the middle of a project, and insert it in an other place in the same project.

I want to select four bars with 8 tracks, and copy and insert them on an other place in the end of the track, but have not succeeded.

Is that possible? If so, how do I do?

The only option seem to be to "select all" or "from cursor to the end".
I hope my question is understandable.

There's several ways, here's one:

make a copy of your work and work on that

select all the parts (on a Mac hit Apple+A)

choose the scissors tool to make a vertical cut at the start bar of what you want to copy

do the same thing to cut the end bar of the section you want to copy

select (highlight) the section you want to copy, and while you are holding down the "option" key, drag it to the new location

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

you can also do it with copy and paste

Yup, and on the PC, you would use Alt-Click to select the regions you want to copy. I usually keep Snapping on so I get clean even cuts across all parts. Hold the Alt key down while dragging the selected parts to the new location, this will copy the parts. When I've got them in the new location, I turn snapping off and adjust the starting point to overlap the existing parts they're joining by just a little bit, then I hit 'X' for crossfade.

Thank you for the answers. :)
