Hey guys,

I have an mkIII with the PCI 424 card and also an mkII with the PCI-324 card.

I was running the 2 devices daisy-chained from the 424 card until it broke, and I had the old 324 card lying around

is there anyway to daisy chain the 2 interfaces together with the older 324 card? or is motu against backwards compatibility?

Thanks guys.

I didn't think the 324 worked with most recent motherboards.... To quote the MOTU site:

Generally speaking the PCI-324 card is not compatible with most PC motherboards manufactured since 2002.

Either way, try it, and it will either work or it won't. My gut says it probably will support the MOTU interface, but probably won't work with your machine unless it is rather old.

Motu

the funny thing about that is I just built a new PC running XP (to cut down my processing speed) and the 324 does in fact run on it and recognizes the MKII but it wont recognize the MKIII. Crazy I know. I was having a problem with the 424 right after I put in a Windows update. Maybe that is part of the problem.
