if I used a timepiece av [motu], digital performer [motu], but w/out using a motu audio interface, will I lose any of the benefits of having an all motu setup?

You will gain midi-timestamping with DP3, and the Timepeice.

I'm using a Delta 410 with DP3, Cubase5, and SVP.

DP3 has support for MOTU hardware built in, you don't have to use ASIO.

but by using all motu products, couldn't latency be reduced to basically nothing? i want the 828, but if there's other gear I'd rather have [which i don't know of @ this time] the option to get those & still keep a relatively balanced/good-timed system, w/out the motu products.
