MOTU - cubase question

im very new to all this stuff, and im guessing the problem im having is very simple.... but i still dunno what to do.

ive just installed Cuvase SX 2.0 and im using a MOTU896 interface. i have everything all hooked up, but i dont know how to get sound running through the motu to interact with the cubase software. the motu only works through its own mixer window. how do i get the sound to come through the cubase???

Did you assign your INS/OUTS in Cubase?

yeah, thats fixed now. but, it will only let me use 2 of my 8 inputs and i cant get them assigned to their own track.

how do i assign each input to its own track?
