Motu 896hd

I currently own a Firepod (along with the rest of the world) but was planning on upgrading to the Focusrite Saffire Pro 26 to get better pres, as well as leaving the window open to run some pres in via optical down the road.

However, I just found a MOTU 896HD on craigslist for 400 dollars. It seems like an older unit, but I know MOTU has a reputation for being solid pieces of equipment. I'm sure the pres are just as good if not better than what's in my Firepod, but probably not as good as the Focusrites. Is it worth the "upgrade" or should I stick to my originally plan?
 
I can't see the 896HD being much of an upgrade.
No experience with the Focurite though. Looks like a fine unit.
 
Yeah. I thought about it more and the 896HD doesn't really have all the features I'd want from an interface, so I'll hold off. However, the same guy is selling a Presonus Eureka for 300, which is half price of a new one. And some other decent gear that I don't NEED, but are really good deals.
