MOTU 828mkII vs. Tascam FW-1884

For you? Definetaly the tascam
It has a control surface (the weak point of your setup is the behringer board, you could get rid of that with the tascam)
It has great mic-pre's (again a million times better than the behringer)
It has good converters (probably a little better than the 828, maybe a db or two)
It has everything the 828 has PLUS a motorized control surface with fast access buttons
I got a mackie control universal (a similar control surface to the tascam but without the interface) and it has really helped me do things faster and easier. ALOT less writers cramp from using that dayum mouse all the time! And it is made to be used mainly with cubase (your main listed program of choice) I think it even comes with cubase actually.
DEFINATELY go with the tascam! (just my opinion)

One more thing:
The FW-1884 can be expanded on bye adding fader units, each unit has an additional 8 motorized faders. You wouldn't believe how much motorized faders help your mixing. I added 2 extenders onto the MCU so I have 24 motorized faders, its awesome!

Do the FW-1082 use the same pres and converters as the FW-1884?
And is the quality of the FW-1082 better than the MOTU 828mkII?
