is it posible to have more then one FireWire audio interface to run multichannel system.. like, you can have 4 Aardvark Q10 units and run 32 channels in the same time, what is with FireWire interfaces.. it is well known that you can't run two digi 001's, is it stil the same with digi002 Rack, and what about this new MOTU...??

I doubt we'll see any details like this for the 002 rack very soon. It was just announced and is currently Mac only- till mid-year, at least.

My guess, though is that it will NOT support multiple units. Seems to be the way Digi does things with its LE systems. Whatever. 18 ins and outs is good enough for me.

It will be interesting to see how it measures up in the market.

Take care,
Chris

well.. i just found that MOTU 828 can have more then one unit with firewire audio driver 2.0 or greater. i'm currently running Digi001 with 10 inputs (8+2), for recording live gigs, and it would be great to record drums at least on 4 channels, but with 10 inputs, and bend that has keybords, gitars, vocalists.. it's imposible... so this MOTU solution looks great, and relative cheep...
