motu 2408 and NEW mobo combination?

Hi,
I'm running sonar 2 on a pII 400, asus mobo with a motu 2408. I want to upgrade the computer (buy a new one) to at least a p4 2.x and would like to know of any motherboard recommendations for the motu. I'd like to buy knowing the drivers for the 2408 will work with the mobo. from what i've read genuine intel mobo are the way to go. Just asking for any insight. thanks alot.

Yes, if you want to go the P4 route, a motherboard with an Intel chipset is a safe bet.

The mobo I'm looking at is a MSI motherboard c/w intel 845PE chipset. model number MS-6580. Anyone using this with a moto 2408 or have any other comments?
