Installed a second hard drive and moved all my wavs, mp3s, songs, etc. to the new drive. Cubase will find these for you BUT...
I had built my Cubase song parts in Acid, which has a default naming convention that grabs the track name. I kept them separate by putting them in different subfolders.
BAD BAD BAD idea! I misunderstood the Cubase dialog, got the same files applied for each track, where there should have been up to 5 separate files for each track...
...I learned more about the Audio Pool than I ever wanted to know. Man!
Took me 2+ hours just to fix up one song. Sheesh.
I hosed up my Acid songs even worse, think I finally managed to salvage everything, though. What a pain.
Good new is I got 80 gigs to play with and no permanent damage - was down to my last gig or so.
