If you search around the site, you will find enough about cables to tie yourself up and never escape!
But, every studio should have a good mic cable or two. Monsters do well but Hosa recently bought the Zaolla cable company. I have ONE of those for my main mic for vocals and it is very good but kind of expensive.
PRO-CO cables are moderately priced and do a good job. There is a new company called NEW WAVE cables, [I think] as I saw their ad in the last two issues of EM. Haven't seen any for sale and don't know their prices but they are guaranteed for life, whatever that means.
So, do the search and listen to as many cables as you can and buy and see how they work on your rig.
Haven't checked the other threads, but I've been extremely happy with the BLUE line of mic cables. I've used mostly the Kiwis (green ones). They are extremely durable, well made, and sound great. Also they are very cool looking, which doesn't hurt the "impress the client" factor.
