Hey, I just recieved a couple pairs of MoreMe headphones (Were supposed to to be Deluxe, but I recieved the regular ones...Will take that up with FrontEnd) and I don't mean to bash the headphones...But I'm just wondering if I'm doing something wrong

I bought this for the sole purpose of...Well, what I'd assume anybody would use tracking headphones for. So my mixes don't bleed through when doing vocals, and so I can monitor myself without the actual amp/instrument overpowering it in volume. I recorded a couple of guitar tracks, then attempted vocals...and I'm getting a pretty good (Or should I say bad?) amount of bleed. It's really frustrating me. Like I said, I'm not trying to bash the headphones, I'm just curious if I'm doing something stupidly wrong, and if the headphones I was supposed to receive are any better at what I need them for.

Thanks,
Holden

Edit: I just too a look at the differences of the Studios and the Studio Deluxes, and now I'm confused...My headphones say "Studio Phones" on the stickers, where it appears to say "Studio Deluxe" on the Deluxe models, yet I have the padded headband like the Deluxes have...What's the deal?

I would patiently await a response form a very helpful member here by the name of Harvey Gearst - he makes them. Though I doubt he could be in any way responsible for you getting something other than ordered if you bought them from a different retailer.

We recently upgraded the Standard phones (without telling anybody and without increasing the price) and we're just now getting the new information (and pictures) onto our website. The new Standard phones are a lot more similar to our Deluxe phones, in that they also have a padded headband and a permanent 1/4" plug. Front End probably didn't notice the change and sent you the "Standards" by mistake.

I don't understand the "bleed problem; we've had very few instances of "bleed" reported, unless the headphones were at VERY high volume levels and the vocals were VERY quiet. Make sure you have a good, tight, ear-to-pad seal with the phones. The "Deluxe" have a lot better isolation.

I just updated all the pictures and data at: http://moreme.info

It really sounds like you have to either sing louder or turn down the headphones. If you are getting bleed from these, the phones are too loud or you are whispering.

I have a bunch of these and bleed certainly hasn't been a problem.

I don't know which model you ended up with but my Deluxe MoreMe's never have problems with bleed, and I track very quiet sources.

Okay, thanks guys. I'll contact FrontEnd about the mix up.

All I have to say is wow. FrontEnd's customer service is extremely helpful. I was on the phone for maybe 3-5 minutes, with hold included, and now I'm being sent new ones with no hassle :)

Being that I'm only a 4 hour drive from Columbia, I should have em Tuesday or Wednesday.
