EXAMPLE: In the very beginning of Mariah Careys song "Making it last all night" she does this whisper. I'm trying to recreate that effect and am having troubles. MY THEORIES: now besides the obvious whisper, there sounds like a phase problem occurring, or maybe a really high notch. Plus it comes off stereo, but not sure if that's just 2 takes panned hard, or a phase effect panning from left to right.
I definitely wanna recreate this effect for another song, but am having a hard time finding the solution. I wouldn't ask if i wasn't being picky. hahaha.
Wish i had a mentor. any ideas on how to get this effect?
