Hey you all!

Well, what I've got here is a question, because I think you know a lot of the subject.

Ok, I will buy a pair of monitors, but I can't decide which one to purchase. I saw the DS-50A 24bit Powered Studio Monitors and thay got my attention...however how do they perform?.

Really I know not too much about this, so I hope you can give me a hand...

Thanks

Now lets see…. an Analog to digital converter, Digital signal processor, Digital to analog converter, Amplifier, and Loudspeaker all combined into one… for under $300.

I personally wouldn’t bet 2 cents let alone $269.95 that such a thing could perform any one of those functions well.

The single review I have seen of it basically said (in nicer words) that is sucked.

I just don't like the idea of putting digital converters, which are very sensitive pieces of electronics which have a hard enough time on there own, right next to the magnetism and RF being put out by the power amps and the speakers. Not to mention, when you want to upgrade your system later on, you will likely need to replace your monitors. Just a bad idea.

The only thing Roland does well are keyboards. They are good at making things sound synthetic. :)

Not a quality you generally want in a monitor.
