more than 1 soundcard on my PC?

Hallo everybody,

1. I am planning to get a new machine and hock up Aardvark Direct pro 24/96.

Do I need to get the other sound card (of whatever type) that comes with the machine? What if it built it?

In other words, will I need another sound card on my machine other than the Aardvark Direct pro 24/96?

2. Do i have to have a good vedio card in my DAW? if yes, why?

If your new motherboard has a built-in sound card, you'll want to disable it so there won't be a conflict with the Aardvaark. You shouldn't need another sound card.

Video cards that are integral with MBs will use the RAM that would otherwise process your audio for graphix. For that reason it's better to disable the built-in video, & install an external video card that has its own memory.
