Looking for some opinions...
Right now I have 4 Sytek Pres going to a 8 i/o Layla24. I've been planning on getting a Soundcraft M12 or a used MixWizard 14-4-2 or 16-2.
I thought I'd run the Sytek through the mixer and direct out, for the Pad, lo cut and be able to use the Aux sends for Headphone mixes. Well I'm told it will greatly effect the sound Q of the Sytek.
So if I will only use the Mixer for a couple Pres and monitoring wouldn't it make more sense to just get 4 more Pres and some little mixer like 1202 or Yamaha for monitoring?
Money got even tighter too just recently so getting a couple DMP3s would also save a tiny bit... I then later (much) will get a Sebatron and a MN1v.
Do the DMP3s sound significantly better than the Allen & Heath or M12 Pres?
