Hey,
About a year ago i switched from 8-track reel to reel and went to a computer based system.
Through the years i found some crative ways to get the most out of 8-tracks, but 8 just wasnt enough.
I got myself a delta 1010 and vegas video.
being able to add tracks rocked my world, but was still limited to 8 live inputs.
so.........Whats a guy to do when he wants more?
I bought a delta 44 and got 12-tracks live.....flawlessly!
Now today i started thinking about how i could use my old reel machine with my computer to get ......more.
Well with my 16 channel board and 8 patch cords later i ran a test and got...........more!
I can record 1-12 to the computer ........13-16 on reel. Then go from the reel to the delta 1010, put the tracks on my pc ,sync it up by ear (for now) and im in kick ass centeral.
Now im thinking of selling my reel machine and geting a second delta 44.
Or getting a bigger mixer so i can use all 8- on my reel.
Endless possibilitys
Man, a 16 track studio at home was just a dream 10 years ago. Its amazing what can be done on these idiot boxes without breakin' the bank.
I just had to tell someone
later,
