OK guys...Uncle Sam was better to me than I thought so I can now buy in the $350 price range. The mics out there I found are the AT4033 / Rode NT2 / AKG C3000B.
I would LOVE to find a store around here where I could actually DEMO all three but this city SUX in that respect so...
Does anyone have experience comparing these three mics? I'll mainly use it for vocals but may also use it as a second room mic for my guitar amp using my Shure at the screen. In terms of preference, I like a bit warmer sound and have READ that the NT2 is a bit warmer than most.
I'm currently recording through a Presonus mic pre and into my PC but hope someday to build onto my system to make it more ideal. This is why the mic decision is important.
Can anyone help me sort this out while I keep looking for a way to demo them??
