Saw another thread with a Cat Stevens tune for his induction into the RHF.
Me too.
I did this with a friend who sang it and my son and I did the instruments and backing vox.

Trouble.

I liked that cover. But, and it is unusual for me to say anything negative about a big booming bass because I like big booming bass parts, but that was to booming for me. The bass was just about overpowering the other tracks. Other than that, good job.

Not bad!

I'll have you know I can do a version of Father And Son which would have you all weeping... but I'm not going to waste my time recording it... :D

I thank you for the listen. Booming bass? Hmmm. If anything I thought the bass was a little light.
Father and Son would be a dandy. Do it man!

Very nice rendition... always makes me think of Harold and Maude. Your voice is really suited to the song.

Only nit I could think of is that I wanted a little more energy in the final verse - maybe bring up the drums a little for that section? Or add a couple of tom fills for accent?

Otherwise it sounds great to me. The bass didn't boom on my speakers - it felt about right.

I just listened to this again but this time over my stereo speakers. The bass doesn't sound quite so booming now. I am beginning to suspect that my headphones are skewed heavily in favor of bass response. Oh, the first time I listened was through my headphones. As I said before, good job.

Thanks for sharing man. I really enjoyed that.
I was listening on my cheap Senny headphones which are quite bassy, but the bass didn't bother me.

Gotta jump on this Cat Stevens wagon. Maybe I'll be back soon. ;)

Pete, that bit of "Where Do The Children Play" was awesome.
Thanks to all for the ears and kind words.

This made the song sound more like the Band than the Cat which is good becasue I'm not fan of the Cat with or without the hat.
